BCC Defies the law on water cuts

THE Bulawayo City Council (BCC) has admitted it is defying a ruling of the High Court outlawing the disconnection of water to residents without a court order, which a judge found amounted to “extortion”said  BCC spokesperson Nesisa Mpofu during a press release

However when we look close to the matter,we discover that the council did not just defy the law out of the fun of it as the citizens are going about it saying it is a form of rebelling against the ruling government. Some even go on to say the city council wants to form a government of its own in our peaceful Zimbabwe just to show that they can.
has any of you people saying this or thinking the same thing thought deeper about why the council would do such a thing.Don't you think there is a reason for them to do so.Don't you think there have you at heart considering what would happen to you when the court of law is involved in debt collection.

YES,l caught you of guide right? Most of the citizen spreading such rumor will have their property seized because you owe the council to much money which you can not pay but you still want to use the water

Mpofu went on to say the city council complied with the High Court order and stopped water disconnections, but the attachment of property didn’t go down well with residents who felt that water disconnections were a better evil,”

The disconnection of water now means that the council is doing residents a favor, can you imagine having to pay your own debt which you can not even afford and also the extra fee to pay the lawyers and the debt collectors involved and worse of all by continuous use of water, your bill automatically increases as well.Isn't it much better, for the water to be cut, your debt stops growing while you look for the money to pay and get your water supply. Now you don't have to worry because once you clear your credit, you can maintain a smaller credit at all times which you can afford.

This is stressful thus Bulawayo residents should be grateful to the council and support therm on this initiative as we are the ones benefiting. We should see the good intentions our leaders have and help the court of law realize it as well.TRUE,together we can make it,but divided we really shall fall.
