When something happens once,its a mistake,twice its questionable...

Bulawayo is the second largest city in the beautiful country of Zimbabwe however when we hear the city Mayor complaining about being neglected in huge functions we get worried.Is it a mistake or intentionally done?Questions such as do the public really know the diplomats s rightful place and their rights as the city s representatives in the government.We start to wonder whether the Bulawayo citizen really give their leaders the respect they deserve.we start to wonder whether the citizens are the ones driving the leaders to be corrupt and only care for themselves because of such treatment?

 According to the Radio dialogue,article entitled,"BCC keen to retain youth games equipment" published on the 4th of February,the city mayor Martin Moyo made an official complaint to the organizers of the youth games held last year in December over what he term degrading treatment he got during the games.The mayor said the humiliating treatment was no different with all national functions in Bulawayo.

“A case in point was the opening ceremony of these games event where he and other Councilors as civic leaders of the host city were accorded absolutely no recognition at all throughout the event.He had to be relegated to the terraces at the stadium when other dignitaries were accommodated in the VIP tent where all the proceedings were taking place."said Moyo

“This was not the only instance as this trend seems to be replicated at other national events, such as the National Independence Celebrations,” reads part of February council agenda.

When such a respectable man start to complain publicly it means things have gone out of hand.Bulawayo citizen where is our humanity what we call in Ndebele"ubuntu",isn't this the city of Kings where respect for the elders was one thing we grew with.Are we not proud of our city just as our forefathers under the ruler ship of Mzilikazi were.Lets lead by example to the young people out there by giving the rightful respect to our leaders.A happy leaders is accompanied by a happy people.Maybe that is the only solution to a health environment in our city because such behavior is uncalled for in our county. .
